Dan Seals, the kid from Pleasant Grove who emerged as a country music star after performing as one-half of the top 40 hit machine known as England Dan & John Ford Coley, died Wednesday night from complications of lymphoma.
Obituary here.
Goodbye Dan. Thank you for all the beautiful music. You were a true White Man.
This is my favorite Dan Seals song. A song of eternal love and a time when America was White and Free.
Most people will remember Dan as "England Dan" and John Ford Coley with this hit.
Orion - kinda off topic, but did you know Mike Plaatje had passed away ? Heard it mentioned on Pastor Pete's March 26audio archive.
ReplyDeleteJeff - I did hear Pastor announce it on his Thursday broadcast. How sad. I tried to find something on the SFA website to post but couldn't find anything, not even a cut from the DVD. I was really looking forward to meeting Mike in Branson.
ReplyDeleteRIP, Mike. He's with the Lord now.
Gawd, you're a softy. We'll have to confiscate your man card, now. Just hand it over, nice and easy.
ReplyDeleteyes, here's my man card, pass the tissues. Don't keep it though, it won't work. What you need is a credit card for all those drinks you buy the for tight fitin' jeans at the honky tonk, LFD!
ReplyDeleteUmmm...that's "buy for the". getting dyslexic from working too much!
ReplyDeleteC'mon now, Orion.......you know I'm so good looking that I never have to pay for drinks.
ReplyDeleteThink, man, think.
