I love Robotics. I find it fascinating and a solution to our labor problem, among other things. The Japanese are way ahead of us in this field. If there were any race to take along with us as we explore the heavens, it would be the Japanese.
Anyway, here's where we've been:
Where we are at now.
A Robot controlled by brain cells!
Where we are going, if we can sort out our current socio-economic problems.
One of my all time favorite movies. This is the club scene, one of the best in the movie (wasting the pig station was the best, but we'll save that for later).
Cyberdyne Systems Model T101, taking multiple Double-ought buckshot blasts to the chest!
Another one of my favorites. This is a great scene too, though the scene where Sigourney is stripping in the Podcraft is my favorite :)
"You have my sympathies."
This movie is so full of hidden meanings. Can you find them in this scene?

It's truly amazing what they have been capable of doing with machinary ... regrettably alot of it evil.
Yeah, you knew I'd dig that Terminator clip (Linda Hamilton was a hot lil number then). Think the 1st was my fav, although a favorite scene would be hard to select !
How about when he went into the gun shop ( Plasma rifle in 40 watt range - Hey buddy, just what you see on the shelf !). Which one you want - ALL !
Hey buddy .. you can't do that (loads shell into shotgun) !!
Wrong !
Assumptions CAN get you killed. Look forward to the next installment.
(I've never watched Alien - not into them flics. My inscreen speakers are crap so I couldn't hear)
Haha that was a good scene too. The whole movie was just great and I never tire of watching it. I hated the sequels, where Arnold is some good cyborg. You couldn't have picked a better actor to play a killing machine. An Austrian :)
The concept of a cold, unfeeling piece of machinery just following it's programing, devoid of moral codes and such, is quite fascinating.
You didn't like Alien?! How about blade runner? Another one of my all time favorites.

You talking about the Beast system enforcers or Arnie ?!
Naw, I don't get into the alien creepy, gory, horror stuff (never saw any of Alien 'cept what you posted). It seems like I liked that BladeRunner though (classic) - that was Harrison Ford and that blonde gal, 'eh ? What was her name ....
Haha, Arnie actually has a heart for an Austrian. The beast system enforcers on the other hand...
Bladerunner, Not sure of her name, but they had a few "pleasure model" babes in that pic. Whenever I see Brion James, who played the other replicant (the first one at the start of the movie) I always thing of Southern Comfort and his role as a Cajon hunting down National Guardsmen.
I really liked Rutger Hauer as Batty and his quote just before he died:
"I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I've watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser Gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in the rain. Time to die."
Excellent movie.
Daryl Hannah.
(I had to google it. I'll try and find it online and watch it again sometime)
I think you can watch the whole thing on youtube, but you have to get better speakers, Jeff! :)
While its true that the Japanese are a highly developed, intelligent race, they do have their drawbacks, for instance, the White Race is the only race with a conscience, ave you ever noticed that? The Japanese do not have one either, nor do the negroes or other non-Whites.
Unfortunately, the fact that the White Race has a conscience has served to our detriment....the conscience is the reason why white guilt works so well against many of us.
Alright man - I'll see yer Terminator ...
