The Reason For The Passover

1 Corinthians 5:7 - Purge out therefore the old leaven, that ye may be a new lump, as ye are unleavened. For even Christ our passover is sacrificed for us.

Only the jews would exchange an innocent man for a murderer. This is their nature, because it is their Father's nature. In this scene from Passon of the Christ, Pilate keeps looking to his wife, because she had had a dream the night before:

"While he was sitting on the judgment seat, his wife sent him a message, saying, "Have nothing to do with that Righteous Man; for last night I suffered greatly in a dream because of Him."

Which is why Pilate washed his hands of the matter, because he knew Jesus was innocent and tried to dissuade the jews from killing him.

One part that even Gibson was forced to remove from the scene, but I will recite for you here, is this:

Then answered all the people, and said, His blood be on us, and on our children.

John 10:1-7, ""Truly, truly, I say to you, he who does not enter by the door into the fold of the sheep, but climbs up some other way, he is a thief and a robber. But he who enters by the door is a shepherd of the sheep. To him the doorkeeper opens, and the sheep hear his voice, and he calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he puts forth all his own, he goes ahead of them, and the sheep follow him because they know his voice. A stranger they simply will not follow, but will flee from him, because they do not know the voice of strangers." This figure of speech Jesus spoke to them, but they did not understand what those things were which He had been saying to them. So Jesus said to them again, "Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep."

Have you entered into the Door? Do you hear the voice of judaizing preachers? Let's hope not, for your sake.
